Response to the Facial-Hair-or-Lack-Thereof Situation

Great! I got to use hyphens and "or lack thereof" in the same title!

Back to business, here are some things people have said to me regarding my appearance:

"Oh. I thought your were rolling it up." --roommate

"Did you dye your beard?" --longtime bosom buddy (For some reason, my beard looks redder now.)

"Did you gell it back?" --a bochur who was rather disturbed at my unforgivable actions, after he figured out what had happened

"Looking snazzy!" --my sis, who proceeded to tell me which spots I left out, and recommended getting a barber on the case.

  1. You're really blogging just to document your facial hair? Come on.

  2. I knew you were going to say that. Actually I was very hesitant to write about such a sensitive issue in public. Whatever. Soon I'll get some non-beard related stuff and that will be that.

  3. We'd all love to read about the train.

Btw, it just occured to me, are you calling the marcus brothers liars? They sing that there is no highway back to krenitz, and you say that there is!

  4. If I named my blog "The one-horned Unicorn" would I be lying?

Refering to a concept does not mean one believes it exists.

  5. Must I mention every fiction which ppl have dreamed up?

  6. actually, a blog devoted solely to documenting your facial hair or-lack-thereof would be quite entertaining.

  7. Don't feed into your ego . . . actions like this are calls for attention, in one way or another. Do it and live with it, don't blog blab about it.

  8. as I wrote earlier, it's not a call for attention. It's trying to make people understand where I'm at.

  14. There's a lot of stuff that I haven't told you and there's a lot of stuff that you'd look at differently if you were in my shoes. This doesn't need to be discussed on the blogosphere.

  15. But he's right, this blog is just one big "Look at me! Pay attention to me please because I'm lonely and want attention!"

  16. I suppose that most blogs are about getting the blog owner the kind of attention he or she desires. some say bloggers say, "Read my blog! I'm the 'real thing!'" Others say, "Free me! I'm in deep sh*t!"

I say, "Aren't I interesting? Read all about what's happening in my life!"

    yep, we're all after attention

  17. Yes, but you're making this into a freak show of sorts.

  18. Am I? I don't think so. Am I displaying freakishness? I'm just writing about what's happening in my life and what's on my mind

  20. People ogle me? My ego is very happy.

The test went well-took me 2.5 hours (faster than anyone else) and I think I passed.
