  3. Do you always read tanach on chabad.org (in English)? Why not just get one of those handy JPS tanachs? ..I'm thinking about getting one myself...

  4. ya but then he wouldn't be able to post a link, and then roll his eyes and snobbily say, 'you didn't click the link? am i supposed to do EVERYTHING for you?' cuz apparently if he supplies a link, you are not supposed to be lazy, and you are supposed to actually read it!

(even though it would be easier for all involved if he would sumerize it into 1 short condensed paragraph, and actually EXPLAIN what he is trying to say.)

    oh well. here's for trying.

  5. He likes to be concise I guess, and cryptic (as did I, but then I converted to these 1,000 word posts).

And I think mechon mamre has a much better online tanach: http://www.mechon-mamre.org/p/pt/pt09b01.htm

  6. cryptic is good- unless it results in not understanding what he is saying.

  9. First of all it's an all-English tanach he's linking to there, second of all the site I linked to specializes in Tanach and other Judaic texts.

  12. Like I said, if that's also the one he uses when reading tanach on his own time..well, it's obviously better to see the Hebrew...

  14. shriki: I don't read Tanach on Chabad.org. I just link to it. Perhaps mechon mamre is better, but I don't really care.
