For the past couple days, I keep on getting error messages when I try logging into facebook. Is anyone else having these problems, or is there something wrong with my account?
Update: Facebook does not want you to contact them. This discussion would be funny, if it wasn't so serious.

Mine is working fine.
ReplyDeleteGosh. I tried to contact Facebook, but I got so lost in a mess of FAQs, that I gave up. This is an issue.
ReplyDeletePerhaps try logging in from a different computer?
ReplyDeletei've had issues from different computers. I think I've only tried firefox, though.
ReplyDeleteWell I suppose if you play around with the variables you might figure out if it's the firefox or facebook itself...then again, it might fix the problem on its own.
ReplyDeleteWish I knew, computers aren't my field.
Check out http://www.facebook.com/help/question.php?id=246963 there's no way I'm getting facebook to straighten this out for me.
ReplyDeleteSheesh, it's just a mob of complaining users. One person suggested changing your password, that might help.
ReplyDeleteActually some people were complaining about that too...
ReplyDeletethe point is that facebook is inaccessible, and it's kind of cute how facebook itself is advertising its inaccessibility. In the help section, they have "top searches." the most popular search is "contacting facebook," and the answer basically is "you can't."
ReplyDeleteFacebook has been doing maintenance on the site - so accounts have been going up and down over the last few weeks. Mine is also fritzing now . . . it's a real problem and should work itself out soon.
ReplyDeleteWhat would happen if facebook were to shut down completely?
ReplyDeletethis is why i dont like fb - they just dont seem reliable, theres always new things just popping out of nower, makes me unsure whats gona happen next with them. remember someone had a lawsuit with them about their privacy issues, i dont really post pics anymore - aparently they keep them even if you delete them. (Not that im paranoid or anything, thats something else)
ReplyDeleteGive it a few days. Happened to me too. I have two accounts-one has been working just fine, and another was completely mixed up. It'll get better.
ReplyDeleteGosh, all these chassidishe bochurim with FB...
ReplyDeleteMushkie-Have you met e recently?
ReplyDeleteMushkies in Austrelia. And believe me, there is no way she is gonna meet E, whether or not he is considered 'chassidish'.
ReplyDeleteRe: facebook- is suuuuuuuuucks!!! I regret reopening it. Plus, whenever I have gmail and facebook open at the same time, and someone on facebook is trying to chat with me, it cuts off everything I was typing in the gmail window! Facebook is so selfish!!
I say, shut it down. That's the only way.
Oh and the link was funny.
Dowy: a few months ago there was a whole stir about fb keeping your pictures after you delete them. Dacht zich mir that they would keep the pictures, but would not make them any less private than you had. So if you set a picture as your profile picture, and allowed everyone to see it, and then closed your account, Facebook might keep your profile picture and display it somewhere. but they won't display pictures that you restricted.
ReplyDeleteMushkie: All these chassidisheh meidelach with blogs...
E- which ones?
ReplyDeleteG-D FORBID that facebook should not work. i mean, really? now if gmail were down, that would be a serious issue. but facebook? really? is that the next disaster movie?
ReplyDeleteif it were down, n'nu. they'd fix it and it would be up. but it's down only for me, so fb's never gonna do anything about it.
ReplyDeleteIt's down for me as well - many people in fact are having problems. As they go through each account for maintenance, it goes down. People have reported the outages lasting over a week!

ReplyDeleteC - no, have you ever met me? I employ a literary technique called 'sarcasm'. Sorry for the harshness :D.
ReplyDeleteWell Altie that's true but I was also referring to Mottel.
E - i never said anything about blogs, heaven spare us all if ___ find out.
