Look Ma: I'm a Big Boy!

Apparently, Chabad.org is big enough that spammers thought it worthwhile to steal their logo!

  1. And what a spam to use it on.

  7. I have nothing to say, just while reading the comments in gmail, I noticed that the latest comments were left 0 minutes ago. And if there's a real time conversation happening on my own blog, i gotta participate.

  10. Mottel - have you nothing nice to say about Chabad.org? Just cause you got stiffed ...

  11. Nemo: I have no beef against Chabad.org the site. It has quality stuff there (just look at their former employees - Nemo and E!) and I've written for them as well. When it comes to their policy vis a vis news, however, they are act a vigilantes and do so without the reshus of Merkos.

  12. Mottel: I don't know a whole lot about Chabad, but all I know is it sounds really funny when you say "and do so without the reshus of Merkos". It sounds like something a a keeper of sacred treasure would tell Indiana Jones or something. ..and who is this 'Merkos' guy anyway, one of the gods in your pantheon? ; )

  13. Merkos is chabad's equivalent of the Throne of St. Peter l'havdil. It has three advantages over the Catholic version:
1-Even when it does issue bull, at least the bull isn't Papal.
2-It can actually talk for itself.
3-The rebbe put them in charge.
    4-Or so they say

  14. "they are act a vigilantes and do so without the reshus of Merkos"

Lol. Such a funny way of writing it.

Nemo: Now I get it. He doesn't have nothing nice to say because he got stiffed. He has nothing nice to say because he works for Lubavitch.com.

Shriki: Merkos is up there, together with Zeus.

  15. -e: I have no problem with anyone. I have, however, been soured by the unprofessional attitudes that some of them have (nasty comments, being uncooperative in the social media realm (Fudging that they took part in things that I did!!), etc)
    Have a good Shabbos.

  16. Mottel told me privately on Shabbos that he got stiffed.
