Here's the picture that I tried to upload yesterday.

  1. wouldn't that be sweet? What if
Cassandra bumps into this blog and is reunited with her eternal beloved?

  2. I'd hardly call her his eternal beloved at this stage of the game.

  3. I hope he is not of the stalking category...otherwise this is incredibly cute.

  4. of course she is. He's pining for her. And she's pining for him. Each night they cry themselves to sleep, cursing themselves for not exchanging phone numbers.

  5. Ten they deserve whatever they get for being such dopes.

  6. trs, they were stricken by love and the scent of the apple blossoms... You can't expect them to remember such mundane practicalities. They made up to meet again. Just they didn't make up where or when.

  7. If they were stricken with the scent of the apple blossoms then they must have really been smoking something. Look at the sign again, wiseguy...

  8. Cherry, apple. Goldberg, Iceberg.

  9. where did you see this? we should email him, and ask what happened...

    ReplyDelete
  10. ask him what? If the cherry blossoms overpowered him or if he is just a dope?

    ReplyDelete
  11. I saw it on Eastern Pkwy at the botanical gardens, right before the library.

  12. very cute. Cant believe someone is that desperate... almost the makings for a good movie.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Probably what inspired him.
Could someone email him to keep tabs on if they meet up again?

  14. C, your name wouldn't happen to be Cassandra?

    ReplyDelete
  15. Heehee, I should make a new email address with the name Cassandra. Hehe, that would be fun.

On second thought, that might be a tad mean. Hmmmm... What to do?

    ReplyDelete
  16. yeah, it would be way mean. The guy would probably jump off the Brooklyn bridge. People who lose their heads from cherry blossoms and put up movieesque advertisments for lost girls probably commit suicide by jumping off the Brooklyn Bridge.

  17. That's why Cassandra's eternal beloved would do it.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I'm totally gonna email him.

    ReplyDelete
  19. You'll break the poor guy's heart!

    ReplyDelete
  20. I don't think I'll pretend to be Cassandra. But I'll email him as a concerned bystander.

    ReplyDelete
  21. that's exactly what i wanted. tell him there's a whole group of concerned citizens who want to help reunite him with his eternal beloved (aka the girl he wants to hook up with). we'll pass out flyers, hang up illegal signs on trees, post ads on craigslist, and dance at their wedding under the cherry blossoms.

  22. I'll volunteer only for the last one. Dancing under cherry blossoms sounds fun.

But on a serious note, I think the guy would be touched if he read this discussion here. Just we'll have to remove TRS' comment about them being dopes.

    ReplyDelete
  23. They're dopes, no two ways about it.

  24. Hold your tongue, TRS. Soon C is gonna email Casandra's best beloved, and you're gonna be ashamed.

  26. And behold, the response:

Thank you so much for your interest in me finding Cassandra. I have not found her yet. Even a story in Tuesday's Daily News didn't help.

Are there some blogs writing about it? Just curious...

Thank you and please spread the word....maybe she'll read about it...

  27. So nu? Did you tell him which bloggers? Won't he be surprised to find a bunch of Jewish yentas.

    ReplyDelete
  28. By all means...of course this isn't my blog but...

    ReplyDelete
  29. Let's make this go viral! why don't you all post this on your blogs?

    ReplyDelete
  30. lol. this has got to be the funniest thing i've ever seen. are you sure this guy is not a fake, just trying to attract girls? how many people do you think emailed him claiming to be cassandra?

    ReplyDelete
  31. Sarabonne-I'll make him wait a little ;).

    e-thanks :)

    Altie-Why don't you ask him?

    ReplyDelete
  32. emailed him. doubt he'll answer.

  33. He said it's not a joke, and he really wants to find her. sounds like a modern day cinderella story. I told him she must be really special if he's going to such lengths to find her. or maybe he's just nuts. I wished him luck.
